Closure For Students
As closure for this project, students in each classroom will complete a final blog entry about the new things that they have learned about other cultures through this activity. Students will reflect on their opinion of this project and use facts to support it.
Students will be given guiding questions to answer for their final blog post in a paragraph format. The questions are listed below.
After the students have finished writing their final blog entries, the class will have a discussion about what they learned over the course of the project and discuss why it is important to gain a deeper understanding of cultural traditions that are unfamiliar to us. People often judge others when they see them doing, wearing, or eating something that is different from our cultural norm. This discussion will be a very powerful and important reflection and closure to this activity.
Closure for Teachers
The project will last for three months. At the end of the three months, we will ask participating teachers to complete a survey at the end of the project through a Google Form. The Google Form is an exceptional tool that automatically places the data sent into an organized excel document. The survey is shown below.
